Coaches in the Dearborn Soccer Club are encouraged to enhance their coaching skills by attending and passing a Coaching Clinic put on by the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association and receiving a license. Clinics are being held in July and August for both C and D licenses. You can register for these Clinics on-line at the MSYSA website at http://ssl.hammerhead.net/MICoaching/DisplayCoachingClinicsnew.asp. Fees for the Clinic will be reimbursed on successful completion of the class and presentation of a copy of the license to the Club.

All coaches, managers and other volunteers who have contact with youth players are required to apply for and receive a risk management clearance in accordance with the guidelines of the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association. If you have not yet applied for your card or if your card is expiring soon, go to Programs on this website, click on Risk Management and follow the directions.

Have all your players re-signed for the Fall season? The Registrars will be assembling teams soon from the registrations they have in hand. If your players get their registrations in late, they will probably not be placed on your team. It's a good idea to give your players a call to make sure they have taken care of their Fall registration. If they need a form, click on Registration in the Quick Links box on the home page of this website.

UK Soccer and Five Star Goalie will again be holding clinics on Friday evenings for the Club. UK Soccer schedules will be available later this summer. Goalie clinics are for all ages run from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Goalies from every team are welcome every Friday. Plan now to have your team attend and reap the benefits of this tremendous program. Coaches are also welcome to observe and learn along with their team.
