The Dearborn Soccer Club is struggling with a litter problem at the fields. As referees, it is our responsibility to check and enforce good field playing conditions, but this is difficult when outgoing teams are leaving trash and you are completing paperwork.
To lend our support to the clean field effort, beginning Saturday, the club will stock small garbage bags in the black net box. The referee will exchalnge a garbage bag for the game report, and ask each coach politely to use the trash bag to collect the trash of his players and families and dispose of it in the trash bins on the perimeter. Marv will be passing out the bags to you on Saturday to get the program started!
I know this is placing an additional burden on your shoulders, but the payoff in pride in our having trash-free fields will be enormous!

Coaches are also reminded to conduct themselves on the field (especially in front of players and parents) in a professional manner. Disputes can be brought to the attention of the board at any time.
If you and your opposing coach cancel a game for any reason, please contact our referee scheduler, email, or call the hotline (565-4433) as soon as possible.
