ANNOUNCEMENTSPRINTER/FAX CARTRIDGE AND CELL PHONE RECYCLING PROGRAMThe Dearborn Soccer Club is recycling any type of ink jet, bubble jet or laser toner cartridge from printers or fax machines and any type of used cell phone. Recycling of cartridges and phones not only benefits the environment by reducing landfill waste, but also benefits the Dearborn Soccer Club by generating dollars towards the purchase of soccer and computer equipment for the Club. Recycling is easy. Simply collect your used cartridges (in the original container, if available) and used cell phones and drop them off. The Club will be collecting these items at two locations. They may be left on the porch at 524 N. Rosevere, Dearborn (three blocks east of Telegraph and two blocks north of Cherryhilll). Or they may be left in the Dearborn Soccer Club Drop Box at Marv Purdy's home at 25650 West Hills, Dearborn Heights (one block north of Michigan and two blocks west of Gulley). There is no reason to ring the bell when dropping off unless there is a question about the program. In the alternative, you may give the cartridges or cell phones to your coach who will in turn get them to our recycling locations. Recycling cartridges and cell phones at your place of business is also easy. If you wish to drop off your business's cartridges and cell phones at the above locations, these items will be recycled for the benefit of the Club. If your business's discard rate is too high to make that feasible, call the Club hotline at 565-4433 and leave your name and phone number. A Club representative can supply you with a recycling box for your workplace. Leave the box in a central location and, when full, simply close up and ship. A postage-paid U.P.S. shipping label is already attached. |
